- A Fellowship of Love

Our Values and Vision

We, the congregation of Christ Presbyterian Church, with Jesus Christ as our heart believe that God is present and birthing us anew into the future we have not yet fully recognized.  We believe that prayer is to be the midwife of this new birth.  We are called to a passionate, persistent, pursuit of God through prayer, healing, worship, love and outreach.  Knowing this as God’s promise to us, we dream.

We dream of a church where prayer is central in all we do.

…where each small group is birthed out of God’s leading.

…where each committee is undergirded with prayer.

…where each member has a regular, meaningful prayer life.

…where corporate and personal prayer changes things in the heavenlies.

            Where prayer shapes the future.

We dream of a church where healing is the norm, not the exception.

…where the wounded come to be restored.

…where those who are lost find wholeness in Christ.

…where broken relationships are restored.

…where the people of God are encouraged to walk in righteousness.

…where sin is confessed and forgiven.

…where Jesus reconciles us to God, each other, and ourselves.

…where people can be healed of sickness and disease.

Where all who are hungry and thirsty can come and be healed.

We dream of a church whose worship is an outward reflection of hearts and minds that are turned toward God.

…where the presence of the Holy Spirit is made manifest.

…where the gifts of the Spirit are welcomed.

…where God is loved with all that we are, all that we will be, and all that we have.

…where God is reverenced and His words are taken to heart.

…where the Word of God is read, proclaimed, and valued.

…where intimacy with God and each other is sought and found.

Where worshipers are free to outwardly express their thanks, praise and love.

We dream of a church that knows the meaning of one body.

…where the people are willing to be transparent with God.

…where the people can be vulnerable with each other.

…where the body can identify the gifts given the church through its members.

…where the gifts of God are used in proper ministry settings.

…where the people learn how to minister to each other.

…where children and youth are valued in the body.

…where new ministries are birthed and released.

…where the people have an understanding of being a part of the larger body of Christ.

Where the people of God truly are a Fellowship of Love.

We dream of a church whose people have a heart for the lost.

…where healing and salvation are inseparable.

…where in our living rooms, work places, and playgrounds people meet Jesus.

…where loving people to life in Christ replaces Christian duty.

…where words and actions are equally important in sharing the love of Jesus.

…where the people of God are sent to proclaim the gospel of Jesus Christ.

…where missionaries are trained, prayed for, and supported.

Where the transforming love of God flows like a river of life.
