Being part of a small group can be a great way to grow as Jesus' disciple. All groups include nurture, worship, fellowship and mission. Each group is committed to serving together twice per trimester, and reaching out beyond the CPC community once per trimester. Each trimester offers a selection of different small groups for you to plug into. It's better to be totally committed to one group than partially committed to two or three groups. But if you really have the time and energy for more than one group, go for it!
Summer Trimester Small Groups (June 2010 - September 2010)

C1 Young Adults Fellowship
Focus: What do we do? Glad you asked. We share a potluck dinner from 7-8 p.m. Whoever is hosting emails a theme, and we “reply all” with what we’re bringing. After dinner, we discuss whatever we’re studying, which currently happens to be Galatians. We always spend time praying for one another. Leaders rotate on a volunteer basis. Very low-key, no pressure kind of set up. The evening usually wraps up around 9:30p.m.
When: Alternating Thursdays, 7:00 p.m.
Where: Location varies among members’ homes.
Leader: Mary Niermeyer
C2 Sharing your Faith 101
Focus: This small group is open for all ages and genders from teens through adults! Have you ever experienced a conversation with a friend (or even an acquaintance) where you sensed an opportunity to perhaps plant a seed of faith, but just didn't know what to say or how to say it? So you didn't say anything. If you want to be able to influence others for Christ, but evangelism scares you and learning about evangelism tactics and techniques is a big turn-off, then this small group is for you! We will share a potluck meal together and then use materials from: Just Walk Across the Room by Bill Hybels; The Unexpected Adventure: Taking Everyday Risks to Talk with People About Jesus by Lee Strobel and Mark Mittelberg; teachings on being the missional church by Michael Frost, and teachings on evangelism by Chris Walker to guide our discussion about how we can let the Holy Spirit help us to truly hear what people are saying and to use those opportunities to nudge them just that much closer toward Jesus!
When:This small group will meet every other week for six weeks, beginning on Sunday evening July 11th. Meeting dates include July 11, 25, August 8, 22, September 5 and 19. Potluck dinner to begin at 5:45 PM and study to begin at 7:00 PM. We will end by 9 PM each evening. Where: The Wibberlys’ Home Leaders: Kathy and Leo Wibberly
